Draft Logo

My inspiration for this draft logo design is to incorporate my last name into the company Identity that I have developed. Instead of spelling out my whole last name, I wanted to be creative by having the first letter of my last as the main focus then proceeding to include the text on top of the background. I was inspired by this kind of design because of the fact other sports performance companies all have similar designs to their logos. My main objective for the logo is to have a 3D letter ‘B’ and insert the sports performance text in between the letter ‘B’. Having a company brand/logo that includes my first initial to my last name makes it known that it is my company but not very flashy that it has to do with my last name. What I want my company logo to provide is a vision for all athletes and those to want to get into good shape to come workout at business knowing that they can receive great workout advice as well as good results. The logo is to give off the vibe that the company is only about workout performance to help athletes and others who look to have a better performance in training. I first wanted to have a football drawn behind the “B”, but it would seem as if I only wanted to work with football athletes. So, if I were to include some kind of weight bar into the background is could come off as more of a workout performance company. There is more work that I want to improve on this logo to make it stand out and be more efficient to my brand as well as my project. I look forward to having me peers give me advice on what I could do to better this project.

Final Graphic Design

For my final graphic design project, I took into consideration the helpful tips that my peers gave me in order to improve the final draft. My peers have suggested that I give the text more of a unique flow to it, rather than having a simple letter text so that the post does not seem plain and boring. What I also incorporated was giving my project a title so that it gave off more of a magazine like feeling to it. I have decided to take the photo outlines off of the individual pictures so that it blends and flows into the background. Overall my peers suggested that include more detail into the imagery so that people will understand that it is about college football and be more unique with the designs. Now that I have completed the changes to my final draft my project is to tell the journey of what I have done thus far to get where I am in my athletic career. It shows the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices that it took in order to achieve my dreams. The main objective of it all is that nothing comes easy, you have to go out and work for it.

Road To Success

The road to success never comes easy for those who work tremendously hard for something that they dream of doing. For me, the dream is to continue playing college football. What I decided to create for this project is a collage of some of the things it takes to maintain the physical fitness one needs in order to achieve their dreams like I do for mine. This project idea relates to my topic due to the fact that my main focus of this project is fitness and I want to inspire others to get out and get active. So, by creating a brief collage of some of the things that I do to remain active and staying in the best physical shape that I can be in. I am hoping to influence others to achieve their fitness goals as well as chase whatever dream they have, whether it is playing sports at a certain level or just overall having a better life. The significance of the elements in my design is to share and publicize that there is more to just being an athlete and playing the sport they are costumed to playing. This design shares that there is more work put on that most people don’t see. Coming from my personal background of being a “walk-on” athlete, these images indicated the hard work I put in to get where I am today. The design process that I wanted to focus on at the start of the project to the end is the professional image collage process.  With the photos that I chose to use for the project, I wanted them to tell the story of a hard-working athlete during the off-season. The audience can interrupt the images in different ways but come to understand that it will all eventually come to the same meaning.
